Click on the green "Play" button in Steam.

Have you set different launch options from the game properties. Right click on ETS 2 in your Steam Games list to access.

When was the last time that you updated your AMD or Nvidia graphics drivers?

You only get the options if you launch via your library. From desktop it's always the default x64 branch.

If this is a desktop computer, then you will have the option to update the GPU to something that is more modern. If your case is a slimline model then you can get low profile graphics cards to fit. A GT1030 2GB model would be a reasonable upgrade which does not require additional power connectors - these cards typically do not use 15 pin VGA. Check your monitor has DVI or HDMI, otherwise you will also want an 'active DVI (or HDMI) to VGA cable'.

If you have a laptop, then you cannot update the GPU. A complete machine replacement is your update option.

In the short term you can try going to the Beta tab in Properties section for this game and select 1.35. You may find that as saves from 1.36 are not backwards compatible with 1.35 that you need to start a fresh profile.

Version 1.35 will become deprecated early next year as steam only allows a small number of older versions of a game to be available and ETS 2 is updated quite frequently....

The AMD R5230 graphics card was originally designed as a display driver for simple office or home computing use when it released back in ~2014.

I have a personalized Dell Inspiron 620(still the same case); added 4gb of RAM (2Gb, so I now have 6gb) and added the Radeon R250 a year ago

Most likely old mods to blame..
Copy your document\ETS2\game.log full content to pastebin.com and share it's link here.

The Dell Inspiron 620 series has been around for about ten years with different hardware options throughout its time in production.
There is the standard 620 and a slimline 620s, the standard 620 will be about 6" or 28cm in width and can accept either the half height (low profile) cards standard size cards that are normally used for gaming.

In the link below on the Dell community pages, the user known as 'speedstep' gives good advice regarding the two Dell case sizes

https://www.dell.com/community/Inspiron-Desktops/Upgrading-inspiron-620-Video-Card/td-p/5775934

If you have the larger case size and were wondering what would be required to update to a newer full size GPU which wold be more powerful than a GT1030, then the following video acts as a useful overview. Note that a TX-650 is probably overkill...A big brand mid range bronze PSU could be used today and then moved to a newer build in the future if you wished.

A quick Google search for " Low Profile Graphics Cardfs ", brought up this link as the top hit;
https://graphicscardhub.com/best-low-profile-graphics-card/

Important that you know cards like the GT710 and GT730 are only as powerful as modern Intel integrated graphics - these are for using as basic display cards for CPUs without integrated graphics for home or office use.

The GTX 1050Ti would require that you upgrade your PSU for something capable of handling the increased power requirements that go with moving up to this level of performance card. A discounted GTX 1650 would be an interesting option if you can find one at a good price as the GTX1650 Super has replaced it with better performance.

I know that the above is all a lot of information to take in, just trying to give you a wide overview of options to consider and decide on what to do as well as what not to do. If you have more questions then fire away. :hittheroad:

Some nvidia users have crash issues with latest drivers, don't remember was working version 441.15? See RTX2060 and 2080 posts for better tips.
