I'll suggest you instead choose a flatbed with pins instead next time, it can take both those types of cargo the flatbed can take AND containers and fluid tanks.
Then I think you are not high enough in level to buy a flatbed with container pins.
- What level are you?
This is a flatbed with container pins: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1597084881
As mention that trailer model can take many different types of cargo, some types in containers, some types in tanks, and some type like here visual on the trailer.
BTW if you have the Krone DLC, also Krone have flatbed trailers that can be used several types of cargo.
BTW, the floor with pins is next one unlocked, found thread where you helped other with similar question.
Cheap or expensive depends each players personal economy I think. But I feel it's a cheap DLC to people who best like haul owned trailers. :)
For my part, until now it have partly been waste of money because I most of time doing WoT jobs and there it's not possible to use owned trailers (yet? - I hope it comes some day)
But well, I still for my personal part see that DLC as a cheap personal experiment and by have it I can tell other players about how to use it and how it works, so to me it have not been a total waste of money.
BTW: ingame the Krone trailers are more expensive than the standard trailers, but then they also are a little different from standard trailers on several points, e.g. the Krone flatbeds are shorter than standard flatbeds so they in lenght perfect fit containers and fluid tanks, where the standard trailers are much longer than necesarry for containers and tanks.
- unfortunatly at the moment I don't have a screen shot of a Krone flatbed with cargo.
