Save file location?
I started new game, did some jobs, saved my game and close it comlpetely.
Now I searching to edit my data(cuz I lost my old save)
In old versions it was in *\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Now there we have two folders named "steam_profiles" and "profiles". Second one is empty for me.
But "steam_profiles" contains folder with random numbers and symbols. But there only controls setting and some other settings (uset g_*). There is no player data (or I just can't find it).
I load my game when I was offline and save is still playable, so save is located somewhere.
Help me find it. Thank you.

New profiles are synced to steam cloud, hence two profile folders now. One for non-steam cloud saves and one for cloud saves.

The save data is stored online afaik in your cloud.

I had a look around among my files, and it seems like it should be saved to %USERPROFILE%/Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/profiles
Not sure why yours isn't. Perhaps it was changed in some update? (I haven't played the game in a while, so in that case it hasn't affected my save, at least.)

Ok, so I found the way to edit it.
If I disable Steam Clound in save in-game it will save it to "profiles" folder. There will be all data.
Edit it there and enabled Steam Cloud again.

If you enabled cloud, they are in "Steam/userdata/*odd numbers*/227300/remote/profiles".

Click on "edit profile" in the game.

Edit: Thanks for the awards, people. :steamhappy:

Hi everyone! I had such a problem that I had to reinstall my machine. I saved the ets2 folder from the documents, but no matter how I overwrite the ones there, as soon as I start the game, it wants to create a new profile. The twist is that my save is in the steam profile folder, but my cloud is completely empty. But it doesn't even accept offline save. old save v. 1.45.2.12s is the current version and the latest. I don't want to start over!

When migrating, you have to start a new profile, and THEN quit and copy over your backup files. The game will not start a new install with copied profiles, it has to create "first run" files first. ;)

I've tried this a few times. It's like I didn't copy anything. Does not work.
