How to play in borderless window?
Do I need an app for that?

Yes you do, something like Borderless Gaming[github.com]. You can also buy this on Steam if you prefer.

How do I use it? When I start ETS and then select it in the app, ETS freezes.

I gather you want a full screen if thats the case,Start the sim then go to Options -Graphics - Click the full screen Mode button.

No, that's not what the OP is asking for at all.

Try setting the game to Windowed mode first. Either way, the game will appear to freeze until you return it to focus by selecting it again.
