I might be missing something here but what is the difference between playing online and offline

online is being connected to World of Trucks so you have access to external real time contracts which everyone has access to and can take. when someone takes a job, it is removed from the WoT jobs list.

offline means you are not connected to WoT.

you will need to create a world of trucks account and link your ETS and ATS (if you own it) to be considered online

You also need to be connected to an WoT account to participate in special events, like the christmas deliveries.

Wrong, Online you play With other players connected or not to World of trucks, but necessarily connected to TruckersMP, Offline plays whether or not connected to World of trucks. No access to TruckersMP

OP is referring to the Profile Selection screen which shows a profile as being "Online" when you have it connected to World of Trucks.

Thanks for the reply's - just one more question if you are online do you see other trucks that are online or is it the same as offline ?

World of Trucks does not allow you to see other World of Trucks players, yet.
