Cheapest multi monitor graphics cards.

Hello and sorry for being a complete noob. I have a core 3.4ghz running on an DH16BE with 8gb of ram and a Gainward GTX560GS 1gb graphics card. That setup runs great for me but I would like to have three screens. I have seen. Radeon 5870 1gb. Would that be OK? I know nothing about PCS and just bought an old PC just for this game. If that card is no good could someone suggest the cheapest alternative?

any card can run 3 monitors if there are outputs for them. Plug them in and setup how you want with the software for that card ie nvdia / radeon . youll have to turn them on in windows first usually . there are videos on how to do that all over the youtubes .

Before buying anything you need to check if your motherboard can support that card. Old MB and new GPU might use different system.

Thank you. I tried with the card I have. It will actually run three monitors. But I think I need either eyefintiy or amd surround before they can pay this game. Maybe I am wrong ? I have been looking for days.

Thank you. Thats a good point. I think from what I have learned over the last few days that it works. I keep looking but there is nothing that I can put my finger on. I think this card will do the eyefinty so three screens.... I would hate to blow some more cash by buying the wrong card. Hence the ask. Thank you for replying.

Yes, for multimonitor to work in ETS2 & ATS, you must have your screens set to a single span using Surround, Eyefinity or some other solution such as SoftTH.

My setup is very high-end to run the 3 monitors I have but I really had to up my PC to a equal level...(I have dual-linked RTX2080TI Extremes on 3x34" curved Philips screens) I would say the lowest I would would be the GTX980ti, altho a GTX780ti can do it, the extra couple of dollars will make a big difference. That can run on a i5... CAN run on a i3 but will have a bit of issue. Your Power Supply has to have the right power and plug as well, I remember having to buy a new one because of that.

You don't need a top of the line graphics card to run this game on multiple screens, as long as your card has the ports you can set it up, you only need a great card if you want better visuals at 60+ fps.

I used a multi-monitor setup for a few years with the GTX980 and GTX1070 without any problems, I've just finished building my new pc with a RTX2080TI but that is only because I went with VR. why have 3 screens when you can have VR and sit in the driving seat.. kind of.. more like float but you get the idea.. lol

Thank you for that. Yeah I dont need top of the line graphics at all. Actually I will take my HGV test in the UK next. Unfortunately I’m in Japan now so I cant get any practice at all. I know this isn’t real but I wanted to get used to the multitasking and reversing dynamics. I know its a game! But I honestly cant get any practice here in Japan at all. So the need for an absolutely basic 3 screen set up linked with the g27 wheel plus a spliter switch for that to learn the gear pattern theory.
This system will not be used after I pass my test in the UK. However I only have two weeks to do the test soooooooo.. Anyway thank you greatly for your input. I really am greatful.

Finally I bought an ATI Radeon HD5870.
This with eyefinty.
I got three screens from the online auctions.
Set the graphics to medium.
Multimon 2 mode with a 45 degree angle.
Running an old intel 3.4 ghz quad core.
8gb of ram.
Hey presto that works for me. I cant to the high settings in the grpahics but it woks.
Add that to an old g27 wheel and a spliter switch I got from Ali Express and it works more that well enough for my needs. Thank you all for your advice and kind words.
