ETS 2 Problem with Version 1.36
I have a problem with version 1.36, It won't run my game on this version, when I go in, a black screen appears and after 5 seconds the game goes off .... When I installed version 1.35 it works for me without any problems ... The laptop is older but I have no money for better :( ... What is the problem and how can I solve it?

Intel CPU, with Q4 2011-based Intel HD graphics.

It would seem likely that it just doesn't support Dx11.1, which the game requires now. Looks like you're stuck on 1.35. Sorry.

Firstly your game decides to use your Intel Grafics instead of the AMD grafics card. Make sure your AMD grafics card driver is up-to-date and see if you can set your system to use your AMD grafics card since it might have a better chance of running the game.

And secoundly: Your available RAM is below minimum requirement. There is not much to do about it other than to have no other tasks running in the background.

That's the problem, game decides to use wrong card. Same is happening to me. I've contacted SCS with this issue and waiting for their reply. I have dual graphics also (but in AMD/AMD configuration), where integrated doesn't support DX11.1, but dedicated GPU does. Other DX11 games run OK.

Make sure your display cable is plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard.

Allrighty, but as the log indicates:

The game is picking Intel over AMD, so you need to go over AMD and/or Intel driver settings to set preference/override/whatever.

Oh wait.

AMD HD7600M feature level is DX 11.0 (ets2 needs 11.1)

You need to run the game in OpenGL, or revert back to 1.35.

Yor CPU is very weak and 1.36 needs more, also you have only 1,6GB memory free. Try to shutdown backround programs to free more memory for games!
Are you sure that you have radeon 7600M, seems to me that you haven't right driver for it.

Windows 7 users have dx11 only and yet ETS2 works...
ETS2 don't need dx11.1, it's for windows 8, have few new tricks and is already replaced by dx11.2, dx11 hardware is enough.

Having just two weeks ago 'jumped' to win 10 from win 7 - after 7 years with it and ETS 2 and my GeForce GTX 1060 6gb I can safely say DX 11.1 worked fine with 1.36 when I was using Windows 7.

Prior to that I was using a GeForce GTX 660 TI 2gb for nearly 7 years. That card supports DX 12

so your laptop must be on the verge of ancient.
Even my laptop is about 4years old now and it fully supports DX 12 on the GeForce 920 M 2gb and plays ETS2 and ATS on low settings, but still plays it comfortably for what I expect of it.

Win 7 had only dx11 and there was lots of disussions and M$ denied that dx11.1 update, that's why I moved on win8.1.
Win 8 had dx11.1 until updated to dx11.2

I still can't find offical statement that win 7 have full dx11.1, however I found this:

Portions of DX11.1 are being made available to Windows 7 users via the new IE10 Preview for Windows 7. If you don't wish to use the browser but do want the extensions then a standalone is available here:

Windows 8 includes an updated “DirectX 11.1 Runtime” that supports Direct3D 11.1, updates Direct2D andDirectWrite, DXGI 1.2, and a revision of the Windows Imaging Component (WIC).
Portions of the “DirectX 11.1 Runtime” are being made available on Windows 7 Service Pack 1 via the Platform Update for Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (KB 2670838) included with theInternet Explorer 10 Release Preview for Windows 7. This includes the updated components above, but is limited to WDDM 1.1 drivers on Windows 7.
