G920 issues
Hey.

So i have been playing for a couple of days with my G920. Worked like it should. But i had to switch USB port, then it all went down from there.

Its not working anymore...I have tried every USB port, the steering wheel just keeps blinking the white light. I have tried powerless for 30 minutes, nothing. I have the latest driver for the wheel. I have tried reinstalling the drivers, but nothing helps.

Logitech G Hub does recognize the wheel. It says G920 when i plug it in, but says "Not plugged in".

Also, in device manager, it used to be Logitech wheel something something. Now its just "game controller"

Anyone got some ideas on what i can do? :/

If the G920 don't get power from it's power supply it will blinking.
Are you sure it get power from the power supply? - check cables and contact switch on the wall

I have checked those cables aswell. I also tried a different outlet now. Still blinking white

It seems the Logitech driver has been replaced, by Windows update perhaps? Try uninstall GHUB and then reinstalling it.

Did you try unplugging the power cable from the back/base of the wheel it self. Then plug it back in with the PC turned on.

I have done that multiple times, but did it again now. Now its correct in Device manager. Now it says Logitech G HUB G920. And its fully recognized in G HUB, but the lamp is still blinking. I have tried restarting and unplugging the USB after it got recognized.

Have you also controlled the power supply get power all the way from the wall contact? - eventually check that wall contact with another device, e.g. a lamp.

If you have a electronic tester or multimeter (or something like that) or know anybody irl friends who have it, try use it to check the power supply gives power.

I do have a multimeter. I will try that in a little bit and let you know how it goes

I have now checked the power. Its 230 V in to the adapter and 23,7 V in to the wheel. So there is power there. There are no bad connections either, tried to move the cables, but no loss of power. So, i dont know what to do

I tried that now, but didnt make a difference. Did it the exact order you wrote it in, but nothing.

Your measurements almost match what is stated on the back of the power supply.
- The description at the back of the power supply says that the output should be 24 V and I can't believe that the missing 0.03 V should be the cause of the problem

I also can't believe all your USB ports should suddenly be defective at once ...
- unless this is a USB driver error (maybe wrong drivers)? - eg. in connection with an update? (@madman mentioned that possibility earlier in the thread)
But after following @ madman's advice you got the G HUB to register your G920, which also indicates that the USB port is working properly.

Unfortunately, I am now afraid that the fault is somewhere inside the steering wheel itself. :(

After all, since the warranty has expired, you can try to disassemble the unit and see if there are any visible errors in it (loose or broken wires, etc.), but wait until you are sure no one else has better and easier suggestions to solve the problem.
- Unfortunately, I have no more ideas for errors and solutions now, sorry. :(

Hm, might aswell open it up then and take a look. Its just so weird, i was just switching USB ports. I moved to USB cable to the USB port next to the one i used. Thats all i did, and it started blinking white.

Oh well. Either way, ty very much for your time and help :)

The USB ports are individual, so when you switch a USB device to another port where it has not been previously installed it must be initialized to the new port which can take a few seconds.
- after initialization in the new port, the device should work perfectly (which will not happen in your case)

I just came to mind .. what types of USB ports do you have (and do you use)
I have both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 in the front of my PC and I always use USB 3.0 for my steering wheel.
- But I don't know if it should definitely be in a USB 3.0 port?
