Volvo FH limited to 90kph (again)?
Last night i was cruising in Great Britain with 97kph, in my 750hp Volvo FH (on cruiscontrol) and had done so for the last few days. No problem.

Today I started up my Volvo FH, to head to France and to my horror, it didn't go faster then 90kph?! Speed Limiter in game menu is unchecked, so what is going on? Is the FH max-speed reduced or... ?

Only thing I noticed is that i had a steamlauncher-update (not even the game) So i'm puzzled atm.

Is this the same bug, as we had in 1.24(somewhere around that time) or did i overlook something?

Thanks

If you are doing External Contracts, you are stuck at 55mph.

Speed limit is enforced in WoT Contracts, regardless of your options.

Thanks for the fast responce.

Although im now even more puzzled, because I did a solid 97kph in GB with External contracts yesterday. This on Normal Freightmarket and External. So i'll test an External now and see if im limited to 90 then.

I'll let you know if i goofed or not :)

Darn, i was hoping i goofed, but sadly i didn't.

The Volvo FH is now hard limited to 90kph on all contracts.
(update=> Solo driving has no forced speed limit. )

So my question remains: "is this the same bug as in 2013-2014" or is there a nother remidy to this little anoyance?

Thanks
Lockatello

Yeah, it's possible. If you are going down the hill your truck will accelerate even above 90km/h. But even if you turn on your cruise control on that speed, it will go back to 90 once you pass the hill. I think that's what you have experienced. :)

You just need to check your options and turn off truck speed limit. Then it'll go above 90km/h on freight and quick jobs.

I have speed limit for trucks turned off as is obvious as i was on cruiscontrol, set on 97kph yesterday and i could set it even higher. And i was not talking about surpassing 90kph by going down a hill. It was a hard set speed by me, the player :)

But Thanks for the sugestion, sometimes it is indeed the obvious i miss, so thanks

Sorry that didn't solve your enquiry!
As you said, sometimes the obvious can be hard to see. Happens to me, of course. :) Cheers!

The only way you exceeded 90 on an external contract would if you were going down a hill.

It seems you are true.

Just tested a solo-drive and i didn't see a forced speed limit.

I must have been very lucky with all my drives in and out of Great Britain, until my drive that sprouted this post.

Thanks people for the fast and constructive remarks

Time to drive!

P.S.

After paying more attention on my contract choises, i found indeed that, only World of Truck-contracts, "forces" a hard speed limit of 90kph.

Cheers!

I also drive the Volvo FH16 with the 750 HP engine. I, too, have noticed it never goes above 90kmh (or 1-3 kmh above going downhill) on ANY contract types (pretty sure). I do have the speed limiter checked off.

I thought it was annoying, yet normal... After reading this thread, I'm going to do some testing to see if there really is no instance where my truck would go faster and I wouldn't have noticed. I'll report back here when I find out for sure.

It's the same with the Scania V8s.

The 90kmph is an enforced Cruise Control limit whilst on WoT contracts, but cruise control will go over its set limit on downhil slopes - probably dependent on how weightly the trailer behind is.

The Volvos have a bit more power than the Scanias, so I'm assuming that's why you're seeing 97kmph out of it

The FH16 can do over 160 fully loaded if the limiter is off and you aren't doing an external job, depending on the granny.

Glad to see your granny is a truck driver. :)
