Sounds like you are looking for skins, not trucks.

Those are actually all real truck brands, although I'm afraid I've never seen mods for any of them. I do know however that the Leyland plant in Lancashire produces DAF trucks, including all RHD varients of the XF series.

Leyland trucks build loads of trucks for around europe, i see the transporters using the all the time, DAF/PACCAR used to build fodens, MAN bought out ERF and seddon just disapered under th IVECO branding, somone needs to make these mods, they would be great.

Leyland was apart of DAF a Dutch truck company. while there might be a plant for truck building in the UK, ultimately DAF and Leyland were bought out by PACCAR, an American truck building company that also have Peterbilt and Kenworth in its portfolio.

Every truck coonstructed from that plant in the UK is American designed and built for the UK market since the two DAF trucks you see in ETS2 were designed before 1997 and DAF was bought out in 1996.

im pretty sure the european trucks are designed by a dutchman, the only similarites between trucks being certain engines, european trucks are more compact forward drive vehicles, which come in automatic change on a manual gearbox set up, also our vehicles are designed to pull more weight, trucks that come out of the factory are plated at 60 tonson a 6x2 with a lift axle, but then the law states they can only weigh up to 44 tons, after that you need a permit, obviously the higher the axle count the higher the weight.

matters none at all. and american trucks don't have to be designed and built the way you see them as they currently are with the extra space up front for the big engine when it can be just stuffed under the floor of the cabin.

as i mentioned, DAF was bought in 1996, that means all designs and patents automatically went to PACCAR, they own them and probably was involved in the design process for the euro XF version as well. Doesn't matter if some Dutch guy designed them himself, if he was or still is an employee of PACCAR in some form, it means they designed them since i doubt he would get anywhere by himself without support.

the engines in the daf are PACCAR, which is a cummins derived engine, the chassis and the cabs are designed in europe by the dutch in eindhoven. so like i said before, the european model trucks, are designed by europeans, in europe, for european roads, just because the owning company is american, does not mean its an american design. if it was an american designing it it would be different, but since as the trucks are all based on older models, its european, daf xf is based on the daf 95, daf 95 is based on the DAF F241 series and so on, DAF CF is based on a Leyland road train, which evolved into a DAF 65/75/85, which is now a DAF CF, Leyland road runner is what the now DAF LF is based on, all these previous designs are european, and still are, its like saying SCANIA is a german design because its owned by VAG, when the new scania is obviously based on the scanias of the late 80s, if you look underneath them they are basically the same, even though VAG didnt buy the company until 2000, in some cases trucks are designed by another country, such as the new mack marathon is designed by a frenchman, but its designed for american roads. also dont mistake the idea that the engine is squashed under the cab, the european built trucks have some of the biggest engines in the world, infact the most powerful truck engines in terms of horsepower are european, i think volvo has the biggest with a 16 litre 770 hp straight six, then scania has the 16 litre v8 pumping out 730 horsepower. these are however geared specifically so you dont have all the power in every gear, to be more cleaner.
I spend every day around trucks, im a diesel mechanic, and iv worked on most of the manufacterers around today, i can also see the leyland truck factory from my house too, im not saying im the all knowing wise one when it comes to this subject. but im pretty sure i know what im talking about. especially the design process, as i went to the factory on a tour, i asked the questions on design as to how does an american designer know what is good for european vehicles, and they said that the design for the european market is designed in eindhoven. so yea.
