That'll be because the Volvo 14-speed shift pattern doesn't use the "6th" slot

I meant the 6th position for a Volvo transmission, the 3 real life slot. Exactly on the diagram, range split into the higher gears for 4 and 5 and there's no 6. I have to use the default Volvo 12 rather than the 12+2
From a garage?
Sounds weird, but I really like the Scanias, but the Volvo shifting pattern. Might just get Volvo then instead.
Would be cool if SCS could set it up as an option to automatically switch the layout to whatever matches the truck, but it isn't a game-breaker for me
You dont have to use volvo if you dont want to. But if you want to use volvo 12+2 shifting pattern(selected in game options) you will have to buy 12+2 transmission at the truck dealer.
So you can have volvo 12+2 pattern in scania but the transmission you put in your scania also has to be 12+2
I think that'd be a great solution, like real life. Just get whatever transmission comes with the truck for quick jobs. And custom to taste in your own
