Clutch annoyance and transmission bug
I recently got a G27 pretty much exclusively for ETS2 and I love it, but I'm having two minor issues that are starting to annoy me.

I like using the Volvo 12 speed setup, but if I use the 12 +2 the 6 gear isn't working, it's there in the other Volvo 12 speed for some reason it goes to netrual instead of 6. That's only with the 12+2. Any reasons why?

The other thing is, The only issue I'm having is that with any weight of trailer, HP or even with no trailer I can't get the clutch to engage smoothly from a stand still.
For example, even with no trailer I lift up on the clutch and it takes forever to get up to speed for the first change, and then it's fine for higher gears and downshifting. I don't understand it. I've change the lift off sensitivity in game (whatever that option is called) which is improved it a tiny bit, I've tried looking for axis sensitivity in the profiler but it doesn't have that option for the clutch.

Any ideas?

That'll be because the Volvo 14-speed shift pattern doesn't use the "6th" slot

You have to chose volvo 12+2 as your shifting pattern and then chose the same transmission in the game.

I meant the 6th position for a Volvo transmission, the 3 real life slot. Exactly on the diagram, range split into the higher gears for 4 and 5 and there's no 6. I have to use the default Volvo 12 rather than the 12+2

From a garage?

Sounds weird, but I really like the Scanias, but the Volvo shifting pattern. Might just get Volvo then instead.

Sounds like your truck still only has the 12-speed transmission then. The settings menu only prescribes the layout, if the transmission you actually install in the truck doesn't have enough gears (or has too many gears) to match the layout then you'll get missing gears (ie if you choose the EF 18-speed layout but only have a 12-speed truck, you'll have L-1-2-3-4 with a lo/hi split on each, and then need to range-shift to get 5 lo/hi all on its lonesome).

Would be cool if SCS could set it up as an option to automatically switch the layout to whatever matches the truck, but it isn't a game-breaker for me

You dont have to use volvo if you dont want to. But if you want to use volvo 12+2 shifting pattern(selected in game options) you will have to buy 12+2 transmission at the truck dealer.
So you can have volvo 12+2 pattern in scania but the transmission you put in your scania also has to be 12+2

I think that'd be a great solution, like real life. Just get whatever transmission comes with the truck for quick jobs. And custom to taste in your own
