Traffic signs
Maybe it's time for ETS2 to catch up with ATS in this area. Clearer signage and plenty of them. Bit of a pain when you get booke speeding because it's change and the only way you would know is by lookin at the GPS. This isn't all the time but far to often. Lets keep one step ahead of ATS and sort this out programers.............please.

I suppose it was meant to reflect reality. Perhaps in the United States there are more traffic lights than in Europe. If the Devs are going to put as many traffic lights as possible so you would not miss it, would it feel like driving in a realistic city? The part about traffic lights changing, well, sure they change. It's not all green mile. In all seriousness, haven't faced the problem. I usually follow traffic lights outside the cabin, so that might be my case.

I wasn't talking about traffic lights, it was traffic signs eg. speed signs, warning signs etc., but thanks for the reply. I have been on every road in ETS and I can say with certainty that there is a shortage of them.

All entering/leaving city signs are also speed change markers, they just don't have it displayed on the sign.

Speed signs are irrelevent as they are for civillian speeds not truckers, truck speed limits change regardless of speed signs.

That is not right, if you go over the speed stated you will be fined, most of the time anyway. If you refer to my original question you will see that my beef if you want to call it that is about the shortage of them in ETS as opposed to ATS and wondered why.

It's not North America and too much nit pickyness on signage and extra signage adds polygons to the area your driving in. ETS2 signs are not really relevant for trucks as EU limits you 90km or 80 km depending on country.

And the truck speed limits are only noted when you enter the country and not along the regular roads and highways in Europe so that is actually presented in a realistic manner. Truck drivers usually when they have to go abroad plan their journey ahead of time and check the respective speed limits of each country they will go through ahead of time just to know when to speed up or slow down. The in-game GPS is great as it shows the truck speed limits which is a great help to be honest as you don't have to memorise the truck speed limits for each country.

I can see both sides of the argument, but it is annoying that as I see a sign I hit the retarder and a cop car is around and I get fined immediately. Some bit of leeway in that regard, especially when speed limit changes from say 80 to 50 would be nice. Actually a way to reduce the number of police cars on the road would be nice. I think there are far too many of them compared to the real world.

It's not only speed signs. Orientation signs like on-ramp/off-ramp is bad too. Doesn't show the actual intersection well enough. Which means when you expect 2 lanes to go forward and one exit lane, one of the two makes a turn instead.

I have often thought the way around this is for the speed limit to flash in the GPS. Not ideal I know but it's some kind of visual warning to slow down

Yes a great idea. I don't know how hard this would be to do though.
