Why ignore Romania

Why does ETS2 ignore Romania? It is a beautiful country with so many things to see, Transfagarasan, Black Sea. Yes I know ProMods has a beautiful mod that includes Romania, but are there ever any plans to expand the official DLC with Romania?

There's lots of countries that hasn't been made yet. Your favourite' country isn't better (or worse) than every other country yet to be created. It also takes lots of time to create them all too. I'm sure they will be added in time, and it doesn't mean the devs 'hate' the country or anything.

Hi Ed, No I did not mean to insinuate that they "hate" any country. I apologize if I did. I was just curious, because going east.. stopped at Hungary :) Yes I understand that this takes time. It would be nice to see if it is in the plans.
I am a "vanilla" player. I've used the ProMods and they're awesome. I just want to re-start a career using just the vanilla game.

Well that was that civil. I was expecting you to troll me. Sorry for my snarky reply too though. When the Sweden event was posted, there was someone ranting how there's no Spanish map because it's 'the third most spoken language in the world' and how grossly incompent the devs are for putting the Balkans first and not Spain. He sounded pretty racist, yet claims the devs are racist. Isn't that funny?

Anyway, I unfairly assumed you were like that guy, thinking only their country is awesome. Sorry. P.S. I'm still waiting for Canada to make it to American Truck Simulator XD. I doubt it will ever happen though.

somehow, I feel that mexico will be added before Canada. Tbh, I'm still wondering about the logistics of adding states. For example, when they release Texas, what if you don't own the New Mexico DLC. How will you get to the Texas DLC? I'm thinking they might force bundle it, but I'm curious how they are going to solve this issue, since they started in the southwest of the US.

Back to the OP's question, I assume it's because they had a scope of how far they wanted the DLC to go, and Romania was too far away from the base game + the going east DLC. For example, why didn't they add Slovenia or Croatia. Slovenia would have nicely fit into the very obvious gap in the game's map between Italy and Hungary, but it simply wasn't in their scope I guess.

ETS2 has ferries. ATS can do the same, but with trains or whatever.

Thanks for the responses! No I'm not trolling, I'm from the US, but I love Romania so.. yes I am biased lol.
Anyway, do you guys have a good reliable set of mods that you run? Now that I think about it, I may have to go with ProMods anyway..
Do I need to install these other mods I see like "Essentials", etc..??
Just looking for opinions.
