Nvidia GTX 960 help needed.

I bought a Nvidia GTX 960. When I start to drive in ETS2, I can drive for some long and then the game will hang up. Right now I am only running the game on Medium settings. Is there something I need to change either in the game? or in the settings for this card.

Oh and before I get any smart assed comments about I should have bought a 1080 TI. it is all about budget here. A 1080 TI is a 1000 dollar card here in Canada.

Any help would be great.

Well it looks like I fell for that one, cause it is the same one as I got last week. So now what can I do, beside's being out 80 Canadian.

my friend's pc got the same issue too with gta v, the game keeps crashing in the middle. so i recommended him to reinstall the nvidia driver and now the game never crash again. maybe you could try reinstall the driver too, to see if it works :)

ok well what you can do is this . IF you DID buy that card To fix the card you need to find out what one it actually is and flash the bios back to what it used to be . AND when you find out the true card you get your money back proving it is fake . To find out what card it actually is you need to take the heat sink off it and look at the chip . There is a whole bunch of techtubers on youtube that can show you how to sort the problem. Your actual card is more like 450 or 650 or something who knows . those F***ers' flash the bios to read as a different card . go on youtibe dude and look up fake gpus and youll see . Your not out money unless you dont folow the right way to go about it and youll at worst end up with a free ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gpu .

Well I have reinstalled the drivers. I did not use the one that came on the cd. I went straight to Geforce it self. So now I will see what happen tomorrow.

Before you d oanything make a new profile save a test your game see if it still crashes going back to your other save turn off any mods to teat then turn them on one by one.. See how you go then..

Your PC could be over heating mind you your GPU should not be getting hot with ETS 2 running.. My advice to your to stress test your PC..

Because you just got your card does not mean its the card thats the issue..

My 1st guess is your PSU not pwerful enouth you need at least a 500 W PSU.. I have a 650 but I have a 970.. ( I wanted to be upgrade proof )

Do other games run ok on your PC if your PC or games still crash it could also be a RAM issue

Its a matter of troubleshoting

Now I am running this through the HDMI port to my main monitor, and the VGA port to my secondary monitor. Not that would affect my gaming. I tried to uninstall the drivers last night, and they kept on reinstalling by them selves. I was even disconnceted from the net, when I was doing that.

Download the free version of this softare CCleaner

It will remove anty temp files that windows leaves behind ..

check the start up tab in the software and turn off anything you don`t use very offten such as printer / scanner / web cam software

then download this

Revo Uninstaller download the free version thats all you need

Use to remove any software you don`t use let it do its scan using the advanced tab and delete what it finds . then restart your PC

This will tidy up your system..

Give this a go it should help ..

What happens is windows does not delete all the files etc when you unstall software / games etc

So the system gets clogged up and slows down your PC :)

Before I do anything more on this computer. I will be running a full system virus scan when I go to bed tonight. Once that is done, then I will check out the other things that have been suggested to me. After that then I will goo even further to get this thing running right. Even if that means buying an new card, which I hope I will not have to do.
