The Speed limit Joke
Have you noticed, for some silly reason you can't drive ETS2 without the navigator advisor and respecting all trafic rules.

Because there are speed limits that are not signaled. like on highway were you can see a 110 but yhea you normally don't go over 90 but the real speed limit is 80.

And this road where there is no indication, so normally it's 90 but not there, for you and you alone it's 80 and sometime it drops to 70 and 50 without any warning exept the navigation advisor red speed indication.

Cars speed and trucks speed are not the same.

The traffic signs only show the cars speed.

The advisor can be set up to display either.

Same ol'topic.

Well, since you have such a hard time keeping the speed limit, why not turn off the traffic offences. Then you can drive and just get damage.

You got the same problem in real life driving?

- Already done
- I don't drive truks IRL so I don't have trouble with non indicated speedLimits.

It is not obvious indeed. You should assume tha 80 is speed limit for trucks on motorway, and 70 on other roads. Signs that show lower value are valid, those with higher not. Some countries has lower limits, like Germany. You can have speed limit on gps as well, so route advisor can be closed.

This.

Just choose to have truck speed limits displayed on your GPS and ignore the road signs. In ATS you seem to be able to just drive to the car speed limits. ETS2 not so.

Apparently nobody read the text till the end and just assume I'am another kevin who brag about false speed limits

In france the only difference between car and trucks speed limits are this one
Truck must never go over 90 km/h and respect all inferior limits indications.

For cars
If there is no indication speed limits are
50 in city
90 on road
130 on highways
110 on wet highways.

Exactly, that's why my Citroen car have the 3 first marked in red.

This is not true and road signs in ATS sometimes have both limits listed on them.

Laws in U.S. are different from EU. In the states a truck can drive up to 85 mph which translates to 137 km/h while in europe the standard speed for trucks (with trailer) are 80 km/h or 50 mph.

I have never gotten a ticket driving car limits in California...even 75 doesn't seem to rate a ticket even though the truck limit is 55. Maybe I've just been thousands of miles worthh of lucky. I get a lot of tickets, mostly in towns, for going over the car limit, but never on the highway.

Maybe is some parts of Texas. Most of the US is 65-70 MPH, and trucks in California are limited to 55 MPH legally.

Have you disabled or reduced the number of police cars in the game? I've had a few tickets in Cali recently on highways, so the mechanic is there.
