Extracting SCS file

I was trying to extract an SCS file with 7-zip, most of the files do extract with this methode but this one doesn't. It says: can't open as archive. Does someone an other methode to extract a file?

What sort of archive is it? 7zip, Winrar? What is on the end of the file name?

.7z, rar etc.

Actual SCS files made by SCS need the scs extractor...

Put a copy in a folder, drag scs file onto it, follow prompt.

Will extract into the folder where you have the exe file..

Didn't work, a black screen appeard for a split second and nothing happend.

It's an scs file (mod)

Some modders lock their files so they can't be stolen/reverse engineered/whatever.

Then it's not an actual SCS file by SCS as I mentioned...

I thinks that is the case, can you somehow undo it or not?

I have a full bought copy of Winzip, and, if a file has been locked by the author, it asks for the password..

Can I ask whot mod you're trying to unlock?

It's a lamberet trailer of D'Hoine et fils, i want tu use the template on an other trailer because this trailer causes less fps on my pc

If so, it is not locked.

Rename the scs file to .zip instead of .scs, then try to extract it.

Sorry t o say, both the files require a password.

Only way to unlock it is to ask the author for the password..
