Euro Truck Simulator 2

Statistiche:
Upgrading employee's trucks
Been reading some guides and just want to verify the information is still correct - in ETS2 there is no benefit to upgrading your employee's trucks? A cheap 4x2 truck is all they ever need?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I ran a comparison for this, hiring 2 drivers with the same skills, then giving them low end, and one a high end truck.

There is a difference, but not real compelling evidence to upgrade them all..

That siad, once you have over say 50 drivers, you'll have more maney than you can spend, so I pimp out all the employees trucks..

EE
I currently have one driver with my old FH Classic, 750hp engine with all the bells and whistles. Hes had it for awhile now.

Listing my 25 truckers per earnings, and everyones 5.0 rating with just about maxed skills, hes hardly even middle of the table, behind people driving 90.000$ Iveco Stralis stock as they can be.

A better truck couldn't make less of a difference for hired drivers.

If those guides were written before Dec'2015, then it was very true, it was useless to upgrade their trucks. But after Dec'2015, it changed and now, they do 2-3% better, per year, with better truck.

The comparison is only valid for employees in the same garage. In different garages you have different variables that affect the earning rates. My most profitable employees tended to be in the same garage.
Everytime an employee reaches a new level he got an update by me on his truck. This has no effect on the game but it is a greatful thank to all the faithful drivers. Doing this often enough i can consider to switch a truck with the drivers. So there is nor room for boredom. :hittheroad:
Yep, when I did my comparison, I hired drivers with same base skills, and in the same garage.

There was a difference, on the plus side for the better truck.

As stated above, this was changed in an update some time back..

Hes overtaken by all his fellow drivers in the same garage, in Luxembourg. Rveryone drives Iveco Stralis trucks, as thats what 90% of the company drives, and only one of the garages has (stock) FH Classics. Those also don't shine in any particular aspect.

If theres some anecdotal improvement with giving a driver a 250.000$ truck over a stock 90.000$ with half the torque and HP, i certainly have never seen it. I believe they'll all grow old and die before anyone sees the profits.

So far, we didn't said otherwise.
You will NEVER recover the money spent on the truck upgrades. That said, money doesn't matter in ETS2 or ATS anyway, so why not?
