Does anyone use a tv instead of a monitor?
Does anyone use a tv screen instead of a monitor? We have a 4K ultra HD Tv and it’s great on the straight roads but as soon as I drive on the windy parts I get a bit of motion sickness feeling. I’ve tried changing the graphics settings but can’t seem to quite work it out but want to use the tv rather than a monitor as I can’t seem to purchase a big monitor without having to sell a kidney to afford one! Any tips? I find this the same in ATS too

I use a big TV and only get motion sickness if I sit too close to the TV.

Also, when I untick or tick the option full screen mode it drops out on the screen then back up (which is normal I realise) but the setting doesn’t stay how I set it. Really new to gaming so any advice is appreciated cheers 😊

the tv may have a setting called motion smoothing, interpolation, compensation or possibly soap opera effect; manufacturers call it different things. that could be what is causing the motion sickness.

I have a 32" Sony Bravia, I don't have that issue. I actually haven't had a dedicated monitor for over a decade now.

TV will display whatever it is rated for. Most do 60FPS no problem. Very few are less than that unless they're more than 5 years.

Sounds like you should enable V-sync in the game to reduce the screen tearing.
