Drive trains in ETS2 ! :)

Hi !

I'd like to say how much this game is fun this way, I could'nt believe it but whatever it is, American Truck, Euro Truck, Truckers, VR mode... it's all pure fun congrats the dev team !

But I had a dream... would you imagine how wonderfull it would be to drive trains in this game ? I'm a train simulator fan and I'm quite sure the success would be here with this evolution. Each time I see trains in game I think about it...

And you ? What do you think about that ? :)

Honestly it isnt a half bad idea, but it IS a truck simulator. Maybe a modder could make a mod to do that - but as far as SCS software is concerned; there would be next to no chance of it ever happening.

I have train simulator of course ! But I believe ETS is so much beautifull, and as it's all about transport, I think it would be great all the same with trains, even if, as I told, I love it this way ;)

It would take so much time / money to implement train driving in ETS2 at this point it wouldn't be worth doing for SCS. Also there a plenty of games where you can drive trains :)

up to 5 or 6 trailers can be fun for a bit.
3 to 4 is probably the most managable.

(i drive off road and even on the water,, so,, a train&rail system isnt too far fetched as an alternative mod)

love trucks? yes.
love vehicles? yes.
love driving 1000's of miles throughout the eu? yes?
forgive and ignore some of the physics that you cant change? yes.
= super driving game, of vehicles, of any given nature and or description.
minus the planes, trains, boats and bikes.

but the game/platform/engine does still lend itself to some great emulated driving experiences.
the actual game indeed being a proper cool truckin sim, and on top of course.

If SCS actually were to do trains with the level of polish that ETS2 has.. well it'd take years upon years, considering how long it's taking them to do buses.
