No power
I’ve just put a bigger engine (580 hp) in my truck and now I’ve got even less power?! It is really lagging on the hills and takes ages to get going. Anyone else found this problem? From a retired truck driver this seems really backwards!!
(Not using any mods of any kind)

Also since getting a bigger engine I’ve noticed my steering wheel shudders slightly while driving, I’ve tried to change the settings but it just makes the steering heavy and I’m fighting with the wheel then. Any tips or advice would be much appreciated 😊

You have to find the "happy Place" on the steering slider.
Keep messing with it and you'll find it.

You know different loads have different weight, right? Something heavier is going to be harder to pull. (but you should know that if you're a retired truck driver)

There are some really heavy loads in this game (if you have Heavy Cargo DLC) that will make even the biggest engines (750 HP Volvo or 730 HP Scania) struggle on hills.

Your choice of gearbox would matter too.
