Microsoft Surface
Hi

Enjoy playing ETS but am looking at replacing my current (5 year old) laptop for something more portable. Currently it is a brick and thats just the power pack.

Has anyone played the game on a Microsoft Surface and if so how does it play and can it be played on high settings?

Thanks

Paul

I would go with an HP laptop.
Mine is almost 8 years old and runs like a champ.
It's up to you.:steamhappy:

According to this video, it runs okay. Nothing to celebrate over, though

Depends on the Surface Pro model, The cheaper ones with Intel HD515/520 will struggle a bit. The Intel Iris model should be ok atleast up to 1080p medium/high settings.

But to be clear the i7/Iris model is quite expensive and still not designed for gaming.

Save up and buy a better LT .. dont go buy something that you cant use for everything and anything . Remember there isnt if any upgrade path for these devices . go big or be dissapointed

Thanks All, yes I appreciate the restrictions for the Tablet. Been looking at the 15" Surface Book 2 today which looks very impressive, albeit expensive but then so was a Dell XPS 15".

Current setup is an NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 670M with an i7-3610QM (2.30GHz) so dont currently have the most highspec by todays standards and have to say ETS works very well on Ultra settings.

The problem with the current setup is just the sheer size and weight of the laptop and power pack for portablity purposes.

Suppose so, though the 15" /w GTX1060 isn't exactly lighweight either (medium'ish 1.9kg)

Though propably much lighter than what you have, I'm guessing. Expensive af, imo...

Yeah that is lightweight. Current laptop is 3.9kg and nearly 5cm thick.
