Suitable laptop for ets2
Any suggestions for a laptop than can run ets2 stable? Fed up of poor graphics or laggy performance! Thanks

Why laptop? Do you have to play at Starbucks? Get a real PC.

Not everyone has room or money for a desktop.

elliott, define "suitable" and "price range".

A PC is much cheaper than a laptop with the same specs.

Really? Money? You can pay much more money for a laptop than for a destkop PC and have worse performances.
Also, since you have to buy those components which probably are not so important like bluetooth, wireless module, unuseful touchpad in games, + small monitor size, crappy sound, overheating issues, undetachable components, I'd always go for a Desktop PC over a laptop for gaming.

*Looks at gaming desktop and laptop in the same room.* Yes. My laptop with an i5 and a 860m did cost more than my desktop with an fx8370 and GTX970. However, that wasn't the point I was making. Some laptops, giving enough performance for the buck, is better in place of a desktop. Then there are situations, like the one I stated, where there is not enough room for an all-mighty powerful PC like my own.

One thing to take note: This user wants to play ETS2 at a stable FPS and decent graphics. Not some ultra hungry PCMR game. You don't need to spend $1,000 to get that result, neither on a desktop or laptop.

I quote: "Fed up of poor graphics or laggy performance!" by OP.

@ Reese's Cup: ETS 2 on medium settings already looks like sh*it in my opinion. And I'm not sure that you can even run this game on stable 60 FPS with your laptop at medium settings. And it costed you more than your current PC. Users with high-end PCs have those performances issues. Then imagine how much he would have to pay for a "decent" laptop with an 940m or 950m which (I'm quite sure) can not give him stable FPS on high settings.
For saving space or higher comfort, I couldn't agree with you more. Laptop takes the win on that for sure.

We lost his point at this stage, but from my experience, I'd go with desktop even he asked for a laptop.
On topic: I don't have any suggestion for a laptop. :/

EDIT: I don't want to be rude. So I'm sorry if you feel that way in advance.

To be fair to my laptop, it only costed me more new because I bought it 2 years before I built my desktop. My desktop only came out slightly cheap due to advancements made in the 2 years since that laptop was bought. It was more than capable of running a smooth 48 with nothing else running in 2015. Maybe not so much now or with the DLC's installed. But ETS2 looks like ♥♥♥♥ no matter how high the graphics are increased. The only noticible difference made is when scaling is increased. 150% is plenty. Let's just wait on his response.
welp im using lenovo Y50 still get decent fps about 50ish in 125% scaling and all ultra except mirror range tho this laptop is 3 years old... when i bought it its cost about 1400usd in my country

so i assume you can get better performance at that price nowdays
i havent go for a survey so i couuldnt say excatly wht type you need but i'd say asus is a good to go

note : gonna say i prefer laptop over desktop cause i dont like to play at the same spot everyday
also im often play in my friends houses so desktop is a big no for ppl like me

I run ETS on an old lappy and get 30fps on high settings, so any mid range new laptop will be fine

I have a laptop running ets2 I have 8gb ram with standard onboard graphics and it runs cushy on medium graphics

if you really want a Laptop. i would wait for the new Ryzen Laptops with AMD Gpu,s because the screens should support Freesync aswell and you would get more for your money and a good Performing Laptop for the price.

I play ETS on an older mid range HP lappy with a 2,4 ghz processor and 8 gigs of ram and it runs smooth as silk. I play with it sitting on an external fan on a pillow in my recliner I also have a pillow under each arm. I find that's a very comfortable way to play for a 75 year-old ex-truck driver lol
