Question: Logitech G29 toggle/switch buttons layout
Since a truck has many functions this results in many key bindings in this game. I find my Logitech G29 lacking a bit when it comes to the number of physical buttons on the wheel. There's more functions that I want control, without having to reach for my keyboard.

So my question is: Is it possible to have two layouts of key bindings and a specific button working as a switch between the two layouts? To effectively give me twice the number of buttons on the wheel that I can assign to different things.

Example:
Paddle shifters layout 1: change gear down/up
Paddle shifters layout 2: indicate left/right

I've looked for commands in the Logitech Gaming Software without finding anything useful. Tried searching here, google etc. There's a script mode built in to the software. You think there could be scripts for this? Or in-game alternatives? I played around with the primary/secondary controls in-game but it didn't work that way.

Secondary question. I don't use a shifter so the clutch pedal is not used. Is there any way to assign a key to that instead? For activating cruise control with a small tap or similar.

/P

So, I had the same thoughts as you. And the G27(with the software it uses) had the ability to assign a "shift" key which does exactly the function you're asking for.

However, my G29 replacement is about a week from delivery, so I can't know if the G29 software has the same feature built it. It was hidden on the G27 software. I had my paddles doing exactly as you described, except the Gear Up/Down. That was my retarder up/down.

On the other hand, the G29 has more buttons overall than the G27 does. A whole 4 buttons extra. It has that going for it. If you still haven't found out a way by the time my G29 is delivered, then I'll try to find it.

Thanks for your comment, made me keep searching. I just found it!

Had to change language in Logitech from my native to English (in the windows registry...) because of how things are translated. Anyway, under settings-->"Profile" tab there's a "Profile cycling" feature where you can assign a button to cycle through profiles. Then just set up a second (ETS2) profile and start assigning buttons! :)

Now I just have to do some thinking on which functions should belong to which profile. I'm thinking about dividing into two:

1. Stationary functions: trailer attach, beacon, diff lock, axle drop, start engine etc.
2. Moving functions: indicators, wipers, gear hints, CC, GPS and a lot more.
