Is there a way to tell Truck Weight ?

Is there someplace in the game that displays the weight of the truck? It would be really useful to determine what accessories impact performance vs those that are "just for looks."

If we could determine weight of the truck we can easily then see how different combinations of motors, etc, affect all trucks. For instance, even though a stripped-down Volvo has 20 more horses than a stripped-down Scania, the Scania _seems_ lighter and goes faster, accelerates faster. If we knew the truck weights we could easily dismiss fat, heavy slow trucks with small motors from those that move along.

Right now, my stripped down Scania Streamline is probably the fastest truck in the game..big motor, light weight. But it would be really useful to see not only trailer weight, but truck weight.

There are no weighing stations in ETS2 only in ATS

I've already complained about that in the SCS forums. No way to tell the weights, not even by any console command.

What I suggested was to display the weights in the diagnostics screen. Truck, Fuel, Trailer, Cargo. In the truck shop you should be told what weight certain configurations add or reduce. Go on the forums and tell them. The more people do the more likely that will be added.

As I understand it the only component that defines the truck weight is the chassis, which each have different definitions per make and model of truck. If you care to dig into the game data then you want /def/vehicle/truck/make/chassis/*.sii and this post on the official forums may shed some light:
