1.35 Public Beta and Mods
Hi Folks,

please stop crying "my game crashes" and "when doing this or that my game crashes".
The game runs fantastic ... the most mods compatible with 1.34 are not longer working.
i was trying really hard to keep some mods alive ... but at the end i had to deactivate all my mods and the game was working. now i start to reactivate my mods step by step to select the working mods.
Just keep in mind: it is still a beta version. It cant be perfect. Before updating make a backup of all your save-related files so u are able to downgrade if you want or need. Give the modders some time to update their mods for 1.35.
Keep cool .... keep your head up and everything will become good again.

cu on the road ...

As an add on to this post;
Until your mods are caught up to the update, you may want to either disable your mods or start a fresh profile.

Yup, this... always using the PBs to check out the status of my mods and if i can fix them myself or not. Granted though, the 1.35 is easy on mods, at leas my modlist. Only 2 that had to be removed and wait for an update from the author, and another that simply needed an updated for the versions inside the manifest.sii file.

Since they changed the omg files once more jazzycats mods are now tanking. But with conversion and dumping of those files and keeping them (as a new separate mod) is doing the trick until the poor fella is updating them all.

Uhm... okay. Am no modder myself. My knowledge is just basic. I know how to read errors and might be able to adjust or fix some basic things. Everything beyond that is bogus to me. But yea, the 2 i had to remove were indeed Jazzys truck and painted truck mods. Though i guess you meant pmg and not omg files - just a hazard guess though.

You are right. Autocorrect got me. Jazz is now running but barely. Enough for now.

Happens, no problem. But yea, Jazzy has quite some work in front of him.

That is the good and the bad of this game. A "stale" game (no updates) usually is much easier to maintain modwise. This game has a lot of updates and even more work for us modders. Many mods go obsolete because the modder looses interest. And even worse, sometimes they change files multiple times, where they could do it in a single turn instead. But hey, we get free updates, that is a plus

Well, i only see the good. The more SCS improves the game, the less mods i need.Pro Mods for instance becomes more and more of a background thing for me. And i am more than willing to pay for those improvements.There will always be work for the modders alongside of that road.

With all the new countries SCS are doing not really any need to use Promods anymore. Don't really care if they add Iceland or not.
