Renault Trucks
Was wondering what you truckers out there thought of the Renault Trucks, i was reading a guide where someone was giving them and the DAF Trucks plenty of hate. Now i quite like the Renault and some of the DAF trucks infact i use the 2nd inline of purchase the Magnum which i find a cracking little truck and have stuck with it. I have drove most of the DAF trucks and also find them ok. What's your opinions on these 2 makes ?. Love or Hate ?

If someone would come out with some decent sounds for them, I'd use them.
DAF over Renault any way.

All the trucks are fully capable of any job in game, don't really see the point of hating on any of them, lol I use a Renault almost exclusively the only issue I have with them, is that they have no built in GPS, so I have to use the HUD one. DAF is intresting as they have 3 windshield wipers, instead of the normal two. In the end everyone will have a favorite, and one(or more) they can't stand the thought of it even existing, best not to think too much of what other people like and just go with what you want.

i like both of them...only they i wish they improve all sounds in game to be more crysp

If you have the cabin accessory DLC, you can mount one to your windscreen.

DAF E6 is my favorite truck in ETS2. I like the Renault Premium, too. The only reason I rarely use the DAF 105 and the Renault Magnum is their sound. And I am looking forward to the Renault T! :steamhappy:

idk if it's just me, but i guess like everyone i have some fav. trucks to play with and some i never play with, i prefer playing with Daf, Scania just about equal and sometime MAN when it's vanilla trucks, some other favs are the Freightliner FLB and the Cascadia (not the best modded truck, but i like driving with it)

Anyways, what i wanted to say (after "idk if it's just me") is that i can't even finish the 999 km you have to do with each truck for the achievement, and since you mentioned it, specially when i use a Renault (only on a new profile when i don't own a truck yet) i really don't care about crashing and laws and stuff, but i do when i drive a truck i like.
The only other times i drive something other than my fav. trucks is when i've made a skin for it.

I dislike the only Renault-Truck I have driven so far, pretty much only because of that awfull blinker noise.
I do love the DAF XF truck because the dash is easily readable and actualy tells me what I need to know. Plus that 16-speed gearbox is great, and doing 50 in reverse is hilarious.
I wished it had acces to either a more powerfull engine or a 8x4 drivetrain though so the overweight and oversized loads would be a bit faster though.

Out of the Renault i have only driven the Magnum Excellence i think it's called, the engine does seem a bit weak on hills but i was thinking of putting a bigger lump into it ( Lump is Yorkshire for engine), i think the basic one is 420 or in that region, I quite like the DAF but only drove a couple of the lower end ones. I did have the top end Volvo which was very nice but i give it to one of my drivers, being the nice guy that i am. I don't Like Iveco or Man though i have only driven a couple of them. I would like to have my Peterbilt from ATS but i don't think that's possible lol

I like both DAF and Renault trucks a lot, even more I would dare to say the Renault Premium is my fav truck in game, simple easy to read dashboard, great visibility and it turns pretty well.

the differences are subtle at best from a gameplay perspective ( unless your trying to win a max speed record ), its more about the design and maybe the dashboard
