Steering Wheel
My son loves playing this game, but has been asking for a steering wheel and pedals for Christmas. Is this necessary to play the game? he insists on a wheel that turns 360 degrees, but i thought a normal one would be ok.

It's not necessary but it makes it more fun. See if you can get him a G29 if he also does Playstation or a G920 if he has an Xbox. If it isn't important then either the G29 because more buttons, or G920 beacause cheaper. Amazon usually has a deal on them at holidays and black friday. They go from 250 to 180 British

This game has a lot of options, you can steer by using the keyboard buttons, with the mouse, or with a gamepad (even a joystick would work). So anything goes. Ofcourse, as kids are, they want te best experience. If you want to give the best steering wheel for this game, i suggest a steering wheel that turns about 900 degrees. like the G29 or G920 (both work on PC).

I play this game with my G29 and H shifter, and i can say that after 2 years of owning this steering wheel i still have a lot of fun with it.
I bought my son a wheel , once he tried mine there was no turning back . Plus it taught him how to drive :)

Really enhances game play. I purchased a TMX Thrustmaster for $150. It's a starter and you can add pro pedals and shifter later if you wish.

Have you even driven a car? A normal steering wheel turns 900 degrees. He means not a cheap one which only turns 180 degrees.

As said above look for 900 degrees steering wheel or it will not feel right. Thrustmaster t150 or logitech g29 or 290 ... Unfortunately there are no cheap alternatives. In my country both wheels cost 200 euro ...

Logitech G29.

There isn't(?) 360 degree wheel, 270 wheels are good to any car or rally game, but trucking game really needs 900 degree wheel minimum. Atleast in Thrustmaster software you can adjust any degree from 140 to 1080 you want to use. My advise is don't by t150, even heavily used T300 is much better choice. G29 or G920 is good wheel too and it have a lot cheaper gear stick option!
