What is the best top speed configuration?

Hi guys! I was interested what the top speed of a Scania r or a Volvo fh16 is. I saw people getting over 160kmh but i really dont know what the best configuration is.. for example 2x4 or 2x6 chasis what gearbox ect.. I dont want to download custom ones only the what come with the game and work on Multiplayer. Would be great if anyone could answer. Thanks!

With vanilla parts your top speed should be 150 Km/h (of course I didn't test every truck in every configuration). It may changes with updates, before it was 160 Km/h for example ^^'

I tested Scania r and i can get over 160 kmh with 12 gear 2.71 transmision

Then stay with it, my Volvo with Allison don't go over 150 :,(

check the ratio value on high gear. That is one of important part to get top speed. Additionaly, mount biggest tires - you might get km or two this way.

I don't know if it is a specific case with my Volvo or if developers changed something down the line, but I tried to change transmission only and on almost all (few didn't try) got between 149 and 151 Km/h top speed -.- On the other Volvo model (older one), with different cabin and chassis, again still 150 Km/h. Long before it was 160 Km/h : /

Where to check exactly? Because if it is somewhere into game files then it is not a task for me ^^'

SCS reduced the redline on the Volvo from 2500rpm to 2000rpm several years ago to match real life.

I have the same problem on convoy we have exactly the same trucks volvo last engine, axis, and transmission and mine stops at 150 km/h and my friend is going with 170-180 km/h on the same road. And my scania stops at 130 km/h best transmision and engine . But this happens only on convoy. Does anyone know why?

Perhaps because it is not a Ferrari, but a Volvo truck?

The most fast speed highway that I have encountered by the game was in Roumania with 100 kph. Who need such high speeds, is not a racing truck simulator. More interesant and real, is how is the consum of the truck.

If you drive 3h almost only on Autobahn, then you want a higher km/h, ofc.

Also: Does someone know how to pump the Scania S up to 150km/h again?
