More likely that the pink textures was just a result of the anti-piracy measures deliberately corrupting the game experience to try and stop people pirating it (plenty of other games have done it). The texture corruption on its own isn't proof of the piracy, in the same way that a missing set of keys haven't necessarily been stolen.
What about no ? What about reading the whole topic before trying to be almighty, huffing and puffing, attempting to overthrow long standing beliefs, with your miniature horse made of hay like it's some kind of Troyan horse. Get a grip on your attitude.
Thx. man appriciate it
Thx. Karli, after carfull reviewing al the tobj files I have found some bad pointers
There's one game I can't recall atm that changes the games theme to a pirate theme, but is still fully playable. One I've played (still need to buy, but lack of money hurts) just gives you a nod, but doesn't stop you from playing. Devs that respect the users and not hinder could, in theory, lead to more sales. Partly why any title that has DRM in it, I'll just wait for a deep sale before I consider buying them, especially those with Denuvo.
Oh absolutely, it is just one way that measures can be enacted to try and combat piracy. Other older ones include stopping certain mission objectives from being able to be completed, or require certain information from the game manual that you wouldn't have if it was a pirated version (back in ye goode olde days of physical manuals/discs). A classic one was Serious Sam 3, which was exactly as normal except a giant invincible bright-pink killer scorpion would chase you indefinitely.
