ZModeler 3.0 not natively supported and SCS exporter formats there may a bit outdated. You need Blender to build 3D shapes and skinnings, using plugins and tools from SCS.

what xFetusX said, and you can also use Blender, but that just got updated a few days ago so maybe an addon/plugin you need doesn't work anymore, and tutorials may also be outdated, unless you can dl an older version.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Blender is v2.8 now.
This version needs to have SCS Blender tools updated. At time of writing, this hasn't happened.
Pretty sure the Blender.org site has legacy versions for download.
You're looking for Blender v2.79
Good luck :)

oh..
and to import a model into Blender, you'll need to extract ETS2 base.scs to a folder somewhere.
contents of directories:

material/environment
vehicle/truck/share (for truck models)
vehicle/trailer/share (for trailer models)

need to be added to your model's directory for correct conversion by Converter Pix.
All sorts of nasty errors if you don't.
