I use this method to download early release's to compare how are far a particular game has come along.
I also will do this if a developer has released a bad update, and I can download the previous version until a hot fix is released.
That video use SteamDB.Info to spot the version that are stored on the Steam servers. That's fine but that won't work here because 1.19 was removed years ago, as SCS were storing too many older version and Steam asked them to clean it up.
ahh thats sad! Oh well update me if you guys find anything.
Oh btw, is there an update to maybe simshift?
Steam > Library > ETS2 \ Properties > Beta > List of the previous versions, from 1.22 to 1.35.
There have been game-impacting changes made to config.cfg as well as controls.sii, to name just two, and using your v1.35 iterations of these files in conjunction with, say, game files from v1.22 will almost certainly cause the game to fall over and want its mommy.
Sorry to say but you are wrong. I am now looking at the manifest for Euro Truck Simulator 2, and you can go back as far as 6 years ago.
check again, your info is incorrect.
here is the manifest link: https://steamdb.info/depot/227301/manifests/
My infos are not incorrect, SCS did actually removed the older versions per a Steam request, that's a fact - but - I tried that method through the manifest Id and Steam actually downloaded the files. And I did that, main files for ETS2 1.8 and exes for ETS 1.8.
And ... nothing, Steam Offline doesn't want to run the game and Steam Online wants to download the newest update. Maybe I'm missing a piece here. And maybe that what SCS / Steam entailed with ' removal of the older versions ', still stored on the server but unusable, contrary to the beta menu and to Op's wishes.
