Sliding when braking
Whenever I brake, even when going perfectly straight, my truck slides to the right. This wasn't before the update. It also always only slides to the right.

lower the brake power ,, youre locking them up i bet ..,and dont slam on the brakes .

What truck are you using? In my case no matter how hard I press on brake pedal I never slide. Maybe you used some mod and now it creates problems.

Other option maybe you have slider for braking power maxed to right?
I set this slider to left but not at minimum because I like challenge. Maxed to right made my truck stop almost on spot which is not realistic in my taste and it makes game way to easy.
Anyway I will soon try to max it out and see how truck behaves without trailer and with trailer.

Fast update.
I just went to options and noticed that after some patch some sliders were added!

Like truck stability! I by default have it on max! Maybe you tweaked this slider? Check it out.

Also some suspension slider was added and cabin suspension too.
WOW I did not play with those! I need to test it :)

Could be a mod issue..
Are you using any truck/chassis or phyics mods?

First test I just made would point into way to high brake power. You may have maxed brake power in options. Driving without a trailer I accelerated to about 70kmh and while making medium turn I applied brakes as hard as I could and my truck definately slided.

But why in your case it slides always to one side? I dont know. But maybe trailer weight making this slide and weirldly only to one side. Roads in ETS2 are perfectly balanced. Not like in real life where many roads tend to have slight tilt to sidewalks. Maybe to make water go to sides more easily. But cars when braking hard on such surfaces tend to slide rear to right because of this tilt. As for in game I have no idea.

First test lowering brake power. I play on 3 slider lenght from left side (to bad devs did not add numerical slider value! :/ It would be easier to share player to player settings.)
Maybe you try at least on 50% brake power and see if you still have this issue :)

Here is my setting for braking power and trailer stiffness. Those were only 2 sliders. Now there are 3 more.
I like it :) Now I can set truck stability too! Tested on 55kmh while maxed I can hard turn and truck stays straight. When lowered to minimum at same speed and hard turn my truck just flip to the side.

Other new sliders are for suspension stiffness and cabin suspension stiffness.

I have tried everything now. Without 100% brake strength the truck will slide permanently, even without braking now. The braking itself got a lot better, currently using let's say 90% on the slider.

I do not use any physics or traffic mods.

90%? It is almost maxed out! Do you use analogue braking or keyboard?? If keyboard tthen it may go from 0 to full braking in second. No wonder if you wolud slide then.
I use about 30% brake strength and play on G29 and no sliding at all.
Maybe it depends on the type of gear you use. I have now set it ~75% which feels almost perfect. I am using a PS4 Controller. When I pull the trigger all the way down at an instant, it slows down quite slowly still though. However it seems impossible to make it slide now.

I prefere about 30% braking power. I like challenge and also in this setting it feels more true to real life braking distance. Especially with hevier loads. But wheel lock should be dependent on truck itself and trailer. If it have no ABS then wheels should lock easily. If people play on keyboard (sic!) then there should be slider for auto power balance so they would not lock wheels easily. But as for wheel user I would love more realism in handling. Sadly it is to easy for me.

i was leave brakes on default.. and tap brake...its like in real truck... if u slam on brake and u have cargo... truck get slide effect and that would result pretty bad.. cz cargo would push truck forward with high force and u would lose control
