Why there's no Gear Shifter inside my truck?

I'm driving stock Volvo FH16 and I see no Gear Shifter inside cabin, makes me wonder if I should be driving the truck in Automatic transmission or somenthing might be missing. Thanks!

Its automatic. You use a button on the wheel to change gear.

all the SCS standard trucks have interiors with automatic transmission, if you want interiors with manual, you're gonna have to use mods

Lol Europeans have done their fair share of shifting, but then realized it is just something better be automated. American steam punk trucks are cool but if you are a pro and not hobbyist you chose modern state of the art auto shifter from Volvo.

I understand but, is there a way to do high RPMs in automatic stock transmission at will, I mean, without having to go into game settings and set it for yourself each time you wanna drive high, mid or low RPMs??

wow! What?! I need mods for that?! Isn't there a way to buy the truck with Shifter? I've seen the FH16 with Shifter before. I might be wrong but it should be an in-game option to choose wich version you want when buying the truck. Just sayin'...

So I thought too about 45 years, with maybe 100 km driven by automatics. Now I would maybe buy automatic. They are not bad anymore.
