Because it's set in Europe so uses European currencies.

IRL Dollar to Euro exchange rate has "always" been basically 1 to 1, I can remember seeing only about +- 0.15 variations between them. So, if you have one million dollars, you pretty much have one million euros or close enough and vice versa. Pound in the other hand... :lunar2019deadpanpig:

Never actually noticed it doesn't have USD on that list on options, just european currencies.

You can have this imaginary 100k, since it doesn't matter in games imaginary economy.

What does it matter? You see all prices in the currency selected. So if you need to buy something for 82k then you need to have 82k of whatever currency. It's not like you need to know random conversion ratings.

Make your own currency called Snozzberry.

Exactly this. I mean, I can slightly understand why units like miles/km, gallons/litres or fahrenheit/celcius might be confusing, but I really cannot understand how one cannot possibly understand a currency system.

I mean, I even set my ATS settings to use Gallons and Miles just to add some more American feel to it, while we use litres and km in my country. Hint: Google can convert units by just typing in things like "50 gallons to litres".

the ONLY time selected curency matters in this game is then you are in non-euro zone country (ingame) and look at gas station signs, they show prices in local curency BUT when you are at fueling spot there it will show prices in your selected curency
