Nintendo Switch Pro Controller issues

I've been trying to get this thing to work for the last 2 days now, It worked before that, those were happy times. All of a sudden the game doesn't recognise and detect the controller anymore. It works on other games, I can even open the game with my controller, but once the game boots up it no longer works.

I've tried going into the General Controller Settings to make sure Generic Gamepad config support is unchecked
The only thing checked is Switch control config
I've tried restarting my computer, Steam, ETS2
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game
I've tried deleting and re-adding my controller to my computer
I've tried going back to a previous version of ETS2
I've unsubscribed from BETA tests

seems like nothing works

Switch pro controller not working

I wanted to play ets2 with nintendo switch pro controller but it doesn't work at all. It works fine with other games, but not with ets2. I have tried literally all methods. I have restarted my laptop, relogged to steam. I tried setting it up in the setup wizard, but when I want to enable the input, it shows me 'Keyboard only', and 'Keyboard with mouse', The game doesn't detect the controller at all! Also I get this banner when I try to launch the game saying that the controller configuration is required but I have done all sorts of configurations!! Please help, I really want it to work, so I can play the game with my controller..

I have the same issue anyone has an idea how to fix this? Also reinstalled windows bcs i had to and i have still the same issue

And yes i have my controller configured on the Steam config not ingame since thats required in 1.35 it works sometimes sometimes i have a heavy delay and sometimes the controller disconnects while playing

As a side notw this is only happening in ets2 since 1.35 every other game and 1.34 works

SCS improved controller support in 1.35, you need to reset controller settings once.

I also have this issue! With Steam I can configure the Switch Pro Controller, but in the game just sporadically.

Have you made sure that the Nintendo is actually supported by the game? I don't recall seeing it in the drop down menu for controllers. Have you calibrated and checked in the Windows device manager that it is recognised as a controller and shows all the functions?

It might be an idea to go to the SCS forum and ask that question there,, or even email support at SCS for advice on compatibility with Nintendo controllers.

Yes I can confirm that the switch controller is supported by both the game and steam, It worked the first time I used it so i'm unsure why it doesn't work now. I've checked the windows device and made sure that everything i recognised and all the functions are there.

I'll try SCS and see what they say. thanks!
