Mouse pointer slow in menus
I have this same problem in both ETS2 and ATS. In the menu screens (main menu, truck customization etc) the mouse pointer is too slow and laggy. I have it set to the fastest option but it only affects how the analogue stick on the controller moves it (it's still quite slow by the way). But I use the mouse in the menus and it just lags behind my movements.

In-game it works perfectly without lag, if I use the mouse to look around, for example. But in the menus it's slow. I've found another thread where it's recommended to turn v-sync off. It helps only a tiny little bit but the mouse pointer is still too slow, not to mention the screen tear in-game, so I wouldn't like to play with that off.

My mouse is a very standard Logitech wireless model, there are no DPI settings or anything like that for it to the best of my knowledge. In Windows 10 the mouse is set to the fastest as well (and it works as intended). Is there any way to help this slow mouse pointer problem?

Win 7 64bit (DX11)and it works like...well it's always worked in-game. Have any of you searched win10 issues with mouse? Yeah , don't go BIOS route. That's primarily for CPU upgrades and motherboard issues from early release. If you've got a mouse issue then it's USB drivers your looking at, for either motherboard Universal Serial Bus/ adjust power saving on USB (download from your mobo manufacturer, or mouse) or driver. Make sure for a start your using correct drivers and USB port ie USB 3 and it's running correctly.
Reinstalling/update mouse drivers is not going to hurt, try different USB ports (blue USB 3)

Just to clarify, I don't use any mods and all my drivers etc. are up to date. It works fine but it's slow. Not framerate-wise (the game is running at 60 fps) but speed-wise. My mouse pointer lags behind my movements and it's slow, I have to do at least two "swipes" with the mouse for the pointer to get to one edge of the screen to the other.

Edit: And it's been the case ever since I've been playing this game, even prior to the DX11 update so it's not tied to that.

Sadly none of these solutions helped my case. I don't have an issue with the mouse itself, it's working as intended. But in the game menu it's just too slow and thus it's cumbersome to use.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thank you! This helped. Disabling vertical synchronization within the Nvidia Control Panel mitigated this annoying issue. It's still not 100% direct but much better than before. Thanks again.

Lol sometimes it's the most simplest of solutions :cozybrawlhalla1:

Not so simple after all. Because who would think that v-sync slowed down the mouse in the first place, and that it can be adjusted at two places (both within the game and within the Nvidia CP). But what matters is we found the solution. :)

No, no. You missed my point. The other poster, Kaki (who cleverly understood the potential for folks to mess their systems up, deleted his post) had said that someone had updated their bios and it had sorted the mouse issue. Some people go the whole hog and reinstall the OS! Which is what I was meaning about 'simplest solution', because it was and could have been a helluva lot more serious.
It's obviously a hit or miss as I don't have an issue and this is the first post I can remember with that issue in. As you say, remember it, print it out lol and never forget the solution :steamhappy: I helped a poster, KittyCat. She couldn't see the driver in the cab. Uninstalled, reinstalled checked this and that, mods on/off and nothing would bring the driver in the cab. I suggested going to 'Photo mode' and allowing the game to render everything without the duress of running the game and mods etc. I had had weird glitches with cars etc (long time back) disappearing in photo and then not appearing when coming out of it again. She tried it and that was the issue resolved! Point was she didn't need to uninstall and reinstall the game. So it was a simple solution, like a ton of things in life if you've encountered it or had experience in it or been shown it. Fix a tap, dishwasher, washing machine or car. It's just nailing it or finding someone like CZ pbk :cozykcdknight:

Hello, suddenly having the same prob. My Mouse Courser ist slow as a turtle in ETS2. I have deinstalled and installed the hole game, but it didn’t work. I’m using AMD instead of Nvidia. Changing the vertical sync option to off didn’t solve it too. Does someone have another idea, how to let it go normal fast again. In ATS it’s all normal as it should be. Anyone?

same here using amd, changing vertical sync doesn't work.. and when i tried to change usb port so many times the game just became more lagging each usb port change

UPDATE: Turns out it really my mouse.. my logitech G402 got the lag, when i switch to my cheap mouse (no brand) the lag is gone (also i tested it with pentab and it was fine too).. it's kinda strage that my G402 mouse only had problem with this game tho

UPDATE: For those who lag with logitech mouse, turn down pooling rate to 500 in logitech app, and the lag is gone.. (the cause might because the game doesn't support high pooling rate since new direct 11 update??)

Finally, the solution I've been looking for!
In the Logitech G Hub, on the mouse senstivity tab, change Report Rate to the lowest setting and all is solved! (125) I've set this only for ETS2 as it doesn't impact anything else.

Just played the demo. For me vertical sync did (almost) nothing. However, changing the resolution from 4k (3580x2160) to 1920x1080 helped a lot on the mouse pointer speed.
