Scania Paintjob/Skin not working

Dear ets players,

I having issue with Paint job for Scania. If I add new skin, it showing in Mod manager (activate it) but in game I see only black field and truck color is just dark metallic . I tried different skins.


- Paint jobs are not working with old and new Scania's.
- Other brands I see skins properly and are working.

I tried both options; Using a skin from Workshop and downloading .scs skin file from internet and put it in right mod folder.

After uninstall and creating new profile this issue is not resolved. Its happens only with Scania trucks.

Anyone can advise and resolve this issue? Thank you :)

Make sure the Scania skin mod you are using is up to date (even Workshop mods can also outdated too). The skin inaccurate color probably because of texture problems, especially if you running the game using DX11. If it is the case, try running under DX9 and see if the problem persists.

Note that not all paint jobs can be used on all chassis types.
- Many paint jobs can not be used on 8x4 chassis, and also some 8x4 paintjobs can not be used on other cahssis types.

This isn't helping much, but it may give others a different angle on the problem,... I've made a skin for the OP a couple of months ago, for a Scania S, didn't work on his Apple/Mac computer, but it works fine on both my Windows pc's, the one i made it on and my old pc that used the same file as i sent him, as .scs and unpacked.

True. Like @Underscore is telling the problem is only caused with Scania trucks, other brands causing no problem where the skins are showing up. His custom skin showed up in the manager but in game it was only metallic.

Im using Macbook. Maybe there is somewhere a conflict but im not that technical to find it.

You running 1.35 or 1.36 ob? Directx 11 might be problematic ?? ( I'm no Mac user)

Also is that paintjob saved in DXT5 format?
