g25 vs g27
Okay so i'm about to buy a new steering wheel for mostly trucking ( and a bit racing as well). Now my question is: Should I still buy in August 2019 the g25 2nd handed or buy the g27 2nd handed? I will buy them on the Dutch Ebay so from other people. Should I save some money on the g25 and get the sequential shifter as well or buy the g27 without sequential shifter? And because the g25 is a bit old should I still buy it or have i a high chance to break it? Thx already!

G27 definately, for more buttons (and likely newer). I assume by sequential shifter you mean H-shifter, but they both should come with one, though the G25 one has an option to switch it between sequential and h-shift, if i recall correct.

But if they don't come with one (for whatever reason), I'd look into adding a Thrustmaster TH8A shifter to it (works as standalone usb-device).

*edit: as to their condition, that's anyone's guess when buying second hand

I would consider twice before buying old used and overpriced G27.

These are of course things to consider. My assumption when replying was that the OP has checked the pricing of second hand vs. new G920 or G29 (and other wheels) and came to the conclusion it's a lot cheaper. Which it may be.

But as said, when buying new you get a warranty (i think it's 2 years with Logitech usually), so you can get repairs/replacements easy.

That said, a lot of people also sell these wheels when upgrading to better equipment, and not just because they're broken etc.

As an example, if I was to upgrade now, I could be one of those people selling a G27, which has worked flawlessly for 6+ years now (the only problem being some wear and tear to the leather on the shifter and a few stitches on the wheel. But mechanically it still works like new)

A lot buy them thinking they will use it and never do and it sits in the box in a closet for quite some time till they sell it .

revision 1 G25 are different in that they have straight cut gearing and so makes a LOT of noise when you use it. Also the H shifter can break as it is early production design.
