Thrustmaster T80 Ferrari 488 GTB Edition
I decided to start playing Euro Truck Sim and get the American Truck Sim and couldn't really afford the high prices of other wheels, Now my problem is will this wheel play both games at a basic level meaning a simple setup of automatic just drive and reverse and if its possible could some kind person show me the golden egg that shows the setup.

Cheers

It'll work at an extremely basic level but afaik the T80 doesn't have forcefeedback and uses autocentering spring. This might be okay in a racing game but in a trucking game, if you want to do the trailer manouvering and even drive normally, you probably should avoid this wheel and that particular headache.

Probably save up for a T150 if it's possible. It'll provide a much better overall experience.

Above poster is correct - the T80 has no force feedback and uses a bungie for centering. It's not a particularly good wheel in general (and would be even worse for racing than truck driving).

Save your money and buy a T150/TMX instead.

Avoid T150, it's way too expensive, missing quality and base T150/TMX have maybe worst pedals ever, google it.
Buy used Logitech wheel, great prize & driving feeling, if you want to use more money, buy used T300 or G29/G290.

With 270 degree wheels you should use this exellent mod:

Please don't buy used stuff for your first wheel. If it breaks, you're out the money and miserable. If it has something wrong with it, you're out the money and think the product feels weird.

I bought a DFGT second hand in 2009 because it was 40$ cheaper than a new one. It broke in one session. I ended up paying for two new wheels less 40$.

It's not worth the risk.

Also I presently use a T150 while saving up and trying to justify a direct drive, and it's completely fine for any driving game. The pedals are indeed, fairly poor. But there will be no problem using them in a trucking game. It's also the first wheel I've owned that's lasted longer than two years of solid use. My first wheel, the MOMO Force died in 20 months, the other DFGT died in 8months, My Fanatec GT3RS died in 14 months.

Unlike the Logitech though, you can upgrade the pedals with Thrustmaster wheels. Most importantly though, the T150/TMX wheel base is superior to Logitech wheels in both feedback and precision.

I do however, endorse your recommendation of the T300 - in an ideal world, the T300 wheel base would be the starting point for everyone since it is such a massive step up from everything from Logitech and lower spec TM wheels.

agree with @shin.

start with T150 because It's a cheapest wheel which you can choose from new product.

then you like it, just upgrade slowly.

If you think you want a shifter, buy TH8A.
If you think you need a better pedal, upgrade to T3PA.
If you think wheelbase is worse, sell T150 and go to T300 or Fanatec.

But once you buy T80, You will not be able to do anything even you don't like T80.
