Needs to be updated for the new Merc tuning pack (soon according to Flemming), otherwise is good to go with 1.35/dx11.
SCS WERE looking at putting BDF/Rigid trucks in the game back in 2014.
https://blog.scssoft.com/2014/09/the-first-news-about-design.html
Nothing came of this at the time, however, since then they have introduced ownable trailers and changed the freight market to enable loading of cargo's directly into a player owned game asset. This change SHOULD make it significantly easier to implement BDF/Rigid trucks into the game.
That's how this tandem mod works these days, it is owned trailer ONLY. You must have your own tandem trailer otherwise no cargo is spawned.
In this mod there is also, a rather ugly hack one, an "invisible" tandem trailer available for purchase so you can drive around without a tandem attached...so to speak, it's there just invisible and tiny, but still causes occasional issues particularly when reversing.
PS. I should also add, any other mod that alters the SCS default trucks will not work with this mod as it also quite heavily alters the SCS trucks.
Yes but from what i have been reading, ONLY the trailer actually carries cargo, not the truck AND trailer.
If SCS implemented BDF/Rigid trucks they would be able enable it so that you can drive just the rigid truck OR the rigid truck and trailer
Yes, that's how it's coded atm. Cargo requires a trailer. Hence the "need" for an invisible trailer if you wish to role-play not having one...
