As a last resort with the braking, go into your Options>Gameplay menu and scroll down to Truck Settings. Try moving the Braking Intensity to the left to decrease the harshness of the braking effort.
try lowering it from 100% down to 30 - 40 ish and try again, just keep in mind that you loose brake power with that setting, so no more "oh shoot" emergency brakes
Just go to control panel > hardware and sound > devices and printers > right click on the controller name > game controller settings> properties > under settings tab, click on calibrate > (then calibrate by clicking next and moving the indicated gamepad axis to every direction.. u may enable raw data checkbox to see what input is going in from the conroller)......
Hope it helps. Sorry if it's confusing but it is what it is. :)
Down side is, you just get a blue screen when you go to launch the game, so just Command Tab to the Finder (Mac) and then select the game icon.
In Controls, I had the acceleration axis and brake axis set to R2 and L2, and that was fine. The problem was that, in Keys & Buttons I also had my Throttle and Brake/Reverse buttons set on R2 & L2 as well.
What I did was delete the commands for throttle and brake from the Keys & Buttons are and only leave the settings from the Controls area, and it worked just fine.
Hope this works for you as well, if you're in the same situation.
indeed ty so much. It worked for me, never tought about this.
