Issue with vr on Euro truck simulator 2

Hello everbody!

I've got a problem when attempting to play ETS2 with my Oculus Rift. I know I've followed all the steps that are required to follow when it comes to setting up the game for vr. I've changed start alternatives to "-oculus" (without the quotation marks), disabled the box which says Use Desktop Game Theatre while SteamVR is active, and set the beta version to Oculus/vive (latest version). From here the problem emerges. ETS2 starts on my computerscreen and nothing but the Oculus loading screen shows up on my HMD. Later, a text appears and tells my that the game takes a while to load and that I should take off my headset and check the app if the problem persists. Important to notice is that I've also reduced my graphics in the game a bit, but it still seems like ETS2 doesn't want to start at all and the button F11 doesn't work.

If anyone has had similar trouble or know how to solve this, please tell me how to fix it.

Mines running fine. I don't run SteamVR while running it though, never have. Just start it without going through steamvr and see if maybe that's where the conflict is. F11 I'm not sure does anything any more, it never has for me anyway.

Hi again. Well, I've tried to run the game without SteamVR and I have also reinstalled it like twice. I am still stuck on the loading screen in my HMD and the game is only running on my computerscreen, nothing else. This is strange...

I wish I knew what to tell you further. I'm not a big troubleshooting person. The only other thing I don't do that you do is I leave the Use Desktop Game Theatre While SteamVR is Active thing checked. I can't see that being the issue though if you tried not going through steamvr.
It's never loaded on my monitor when I run it through VR, it's always a black screen with a teeny little mirror in the bottom left corner.

ATS2 is now working for me (finally), but ETS2 is still unplayable in vr. Anyway thanks a lot for your help and advice. Sooner or later this will get fixed, I know it will.

Try -openvr maybe? I don't use VR, but I think that is another possible launch option.

Don't load the oculus software. If it is already running close it. Then start ETS2. It takes a few seconds until it "finds" the Rift but then it works best without oculus software in the background. Perhaps that helps.

On a similar note, I have set my PSVR up on steam. Can I play ETS2 in VR on the PSVR? The furthest I got was displaying ETS2 in the HUD but in normal 2D. Only managed this once and can't get it to do it again

psvr is for playstation, if it works in steam or your pc probably no games will work as psvr was mainly developed in playstation and games that are compatible with vr are usually only compatible with vr headsets that work perfectly fine on pc and are also "mainly" developed for pc (for example oculus quest, rift etc) so i dont think ets2 is available on psvr (your game will execute in 2d for games that arent compatible usually)
