Good map without DLC?

Are there any good maps that don't need a DLC? I tried RusMap but it crashes halfway through loading.
Or, if there are no such maps, what maps need the least/cheapest DLCs?

You need all DLC (France, Italy, Scandanavia) to run Promods or TSM.
They are all the same price unless they end up in a sale.

Well that sucks, I'm a poor fella. Do the DLCs have any impact on game performance?

The reason that the map mods are required is that they are using the SCS assets (road signs, buildings, vegetation etc in the SCS DLC packs for the third party map mods to provide some decent variety and a better quality feel to the extended maps.

If you can pick up some of the map DLC from the existing 75% off holiday sale, so that you at least have some official DLC. There may be repeat sales in March or May 2018 where there are also price reductions.

This is not true. For Promods France, Going East and Scandinavia is required, but not Italy. Italy is supported, but not necessary.[www.promods.net]

Italy is not required until Pro mods release the next upcoming update which will require the Italy DLC. This is an extremely short term situation that may only be available for a few weeks.

The only way to regret that is if you don't have money for food now. Nothing wrong with the maps.

Create different profiles to use and keep one for clean SCS map only - no map mods at all another for each map mod that you use. If SCS make updates to the main game, then you can find that sometimes maps can be unable to function until they too have been updated - this processs may take a week or so, which can be frustrating if you do not have a basic clean profile without your favoured mapmod.
