Steering jerky with PS4 controller

I just got this game last week after finding out i can use a PS4 controller works great apart from one issue.

When im driving and steering wheel at 12 o'clock and I turn gently right (or left) its nice and smooth until the wheel gets to 2 o'clock and then it suddenly jerks right round to 4 o'clock, there doesn't see, to be an inbetween. any ideas ? the controller is fine as i use it for the PS4.

Also while im here will a Xbox 360 wheel and pedals work with this game ?

It sounds like you assigned the steering to the assignments in the Keybinds menu. Unassign those and go to the Controls menu. You want to assign your steering axis in there.

Take a look at the "Steering Linearity" settings in controls.
It sounds as if the linear slider is, to the right of centre or too far from it.
