Should I trun off a wheel everytime I stop playing this game?
i don't know if I should turn off my wheel after playing this game or if i should leave it on. Because I hate to connect it everytime. I'm very new to those things so idk, looks like the wheel doesn't have batteries or have to be recharged. However I'm concerned that it might not work later on or it might affect my pc performance. Could you help me with this?

My G29 is connected 24/7 365. If you do not need the USB port the wheel occupies just leave it connected, as Emma has said it does not affect performance.
some games can have conflict if you also use a gamepad or joystick with both wheel and it plugged in . I have mine plugged in 24/7 365 but certain games i play with gamepads i have to unplug my wheel . thats about the only thing it may effect . but thats just me and my experience as i play loads of different games all the time so just keep that in mind . cheers

Does the g920 not have an extra power cord like the g29?

I unplug my wheel if i does not need it.....as i do not have the space to have it mounted permanently on the desk.

You do not need to unplug the USB that connects your wheel to the motherboard.
However, you should(recommended) unplug the wheels power supply(PSU) that plugs into the wall.
Also, the wheel does not get it's power from a usb(5v) socket on the motherboard, it gets it from
the power supply that comes with the wheel.

So yeah...
Disconnecting USB when finished using the wheel = No.
Disconnecting the wheels own power supply when finished using it = Yes.

same thing here but with a Saitek wheel for Farming simulator with a side panel and joystick also 2 usb ports occupied all 24/7 365 and even if i unpluck them i dont need to apply them to the game.
But if i launch the game without the wheel and sidepanel connected i have to reasign the keys

Oh and connect the wheel and stuff first and then start the game

It didn't come with a power supply.

Surely the FFB doesn't work without the power supply?

Does it do the calibration cycle when you plug it in? That is, does it turn all the way right and then all the way left and then center, by itself?

What wheel do you have, took for granted it was a "force feedback(FFB)".??

It has usb plugin, a disk with drivers and it's a wheel with brakes. I don't see any power supply there.

If it isn't a force wheel (like it sounds like), then it really doesn't matter if you unplug it or not (there is no motor left idling either way).

I got wheel conected 24/7 365 but usb from wheel is connected to usb hub that have all ports with switches on/off. That way i don't unplug usb cabel all time (no risk to brake it or whatever) also wheel don't calibrate all time on windows start, you just swich button on/off on hub whenever needed. Recomend such features, very confortable
