Is it worth playing with keyboard?
Or does it suck compared to wheel?

Compared to wheel it sucks yes, but alot of people uses keyboard and mouse and are comfortable with it.

You can also use any bogstandard gamepad. I use an XBox One gamepad to drive and a mouse to use menus.

Sucks hard. A wheel makes it an entirely different game. Save/work for a wheel, it is the ONLY way to play the game, mouse/keyboard is a far, far inferior way to go. Controller is okay, and oddly enough a Joystick actually works very well but is nowhere as good as a wheel.

I'll eventually buy a wheel to play but it's expensive and it takes some space! For now I play with an Xbox one controller and I must say that it plays pretty well!

idk if I should turn off my wheel after playing this game or if i should leave it on. Because I hate to connect it everytime. I'm very new to those things so idk, looks like the wheel doesn't have batteries or have to be recharged. However I'm concerned that it might not work later on or it might affect my pc performance. Could you help me with this?

I'm playing keyboard + mouse steering and it's good enough. Tried it with controller and it was much worse than playing with just keyboard. I guess it depends on what you prefer to play with.

No, it does not s1ck, not at all.

If you are a pc veteran player, playing with keys is pretty good. If you are new to pc games, or you rarely use a keyboard to play games... thats another story.

I myself have a wheel but i dont play with it all the time, just sometimes. My room space isnt that great and sometimes i just want to grab the keyboard and play.

The only thing that s1cks badly using with ets2 (and most games) is a gamepad, or something of the sort.

Honestly, I prefer playing with the keyboard over the Steam controller.

It's doable, I played for awhile with mouse and keyboard. But you can get any old controller and it's 10x more enjoyable. I have a wheel but most of the time I just play with my 360 controller because I just don't feel like setting up the wheel and pedals unless I plan on playing for awhile.

I've just come from playing games on PS4 over to a PC, and I started playing with keyboard and found it quite hard, but I found an old Xbox One controller and find that a lot easier. In fairness, I will probably invest in a wheel/pedals setup, but for now, a controller does the job. Like someone else said, it depends what you are used to.

Most of the games I play are driving, so my wheel is usually kept connected. But if I am not using it I usually unplug the USB (easy to do in my case as I have usb ports on my keyboard). Main reason for unplugging is to save it going through the calibration routine unnecessarily if I am not going to use it. I hate the faff of removing it from the desk though, and have learnt to play keyboard & mouse games (Minecraft and The Long Dark in my case) whilst reaching over the top of the wheel!

I got a usb hub with each port having on/off button so i dont need to unplug wheel every time, i just click button on/off on my usb hub. It is very confortable that way w/o calibration all time at start of windows

Obviously Wheel is better than mosue of keyboard. One tip if you hate steering with the keyboard is to turn on Mouse steering. Move your mouse to steer, rightclick to move around your truck
