What does BDF mean?

I know it refers to the smaller trucks but what does it actually stand for? I haven't been able to find any meanings that seem relevant to freight distribution.

It means Box Body Truck. However, this is just the English of it. I am unable to find what language it would be from to match BDF. Would love to know the answer to this.

found it ...it was named after the German association for cargotraffic ( Bundesverband des Deutschen Güter-Fernverkehrs) which set the standards for those box trucks...
