I've found that I have to hold the VR headset in the position I plan to play at while starting the game. If I have the headset laying on the desk when I start the game it puts me in odd places sometimes. Also try calibrating your VR in SteamVR. Not sure if you've used it yet or not but you can find it by hovering over your Library tab and then selecting tools, scroll down to find SteamVR (it's a free install) and run it after it installs. For driving I use the standing only calibration rather then roomscale. Overall SteamVR is a bit wonky in general though. Sometimes I have to close a game and restart it holding the headset in a different position to compensate. Then you can fine tune head and seat position in the truck itself by hitting F4 twice.

I did try this after seeing your response after I posted mine. It does indeed seem to recenter you on the seat. Just goes to show you can learn something new every day. Thanks.

I looked for a way to rebind it myself because it snaps a screeny every time since steam screeny is F12. I couldn't find any way to remap it or to remap the steam screenshot hotkey. I can do away with the steam hotkey for screeny but can't seem to remap it, seems an odd thing to me. I keep thinking there must be some way but I'm missing it :steamsad:

SteamVR menu choice "Reset Seated Position" while holding Headset centred

From the Steam main menu, go to Steam/Settings/In-Game/Screenshot Shortcut Key, and change it to the tilde ` key left of the number 1. Then in game scroll down to the Reset Headtracking command that is currently set to F12, for the secondary key, press the button on your controller that you want it mapped to.
