Possible to disable my position on map?

Hi there, i wanna go super hardcore and use the map without navigation. I know its possible to turn of navigation but i want to disable my position arrow completely. Does anyone know if that is possible or if someone maybe could make a mod for that would be awesome. I have always thought euro truck should have a hardcore mode but seems like an unpopular opinion...

I think you could make a mod where the player icon is invisible. You would still be able to see where you are based on the line that the navigator gives you. But I think you can change the color for that so it blends in with the road. AFAIK no mod currently exists that does this.

So what's the issue? What is giving away your position? There is a config option to disable the advisor completely, and you can always turn off the in-cab dash gps. The only "arrow" I can think of other than those are on the M map itself, which you just can just not use.

I have thought about that but i dont know how to do it. Seems simple but i am not a modder, dont even know where to start...

The point is to disable everything but the map, and use the map as if it was a paper map. So the arrow on the big map is what i need to get rid of.

Don't know of any such mod, sorry. I don't use the maps at all except for the M map(which I only use once per trip and even then not always depending on route).

Uhm you can just turn off the line in options.

Then we are talking about the same thing, only difference is that i dont want the arrow to show me where i am.

If the arrow on the map is a single dds file in the game files...then yes, it would be possible to get rid of it.
And quick looking trough the files it seems that it is a single graphic.
