Once I realized that I was not using the wheel settings that I had developed in ATS and set it the same, and with more experience, higher speeds in ETS2 were more relaxed. Still the states have wider straigher roads and longer wheelbase trucks, so 90 km/h feels faster than leisurely cruising at 55 mph in California and if you want to you can cruise at 75-80 mph (129 km/h) on some roads in Arizona and Nevada [limited to 65 mph (105 kb/h) for external contracts].
Question: Are you confusing miles and kilometers?
Sorry to be so confusing.
That's what I was getting at in my previous post. It feels slower because you are actually driving slower. The highest speed limit in ETS2 is in the UK at 60mph/97kph which is just over the LOWEST speed limit in ATS of 55mph/88kph.
